About Comlux America Comlux America is a world-class VIP aircraft completion and refurbishment center located in Indianapolis, Indiana. The company designs, engineers, and installs custom luxury interiors and advanced aircraft systems for airliner-derivative business jets. Comlux also offers scheduled and unscheduled maintenance services. Specializing in highly customized aircraft, Comlux transforms aircraft into personalized flying environments that reflect exceptional craftsmanship, precision engineering, and uncompromising safety. Role Description Under moderate supervision, Completion Interior Technician II installs fabricated aircraft interior components including cabinetry, galleys, closets, divans, lavatories, side ledges, bulkheads, trim, panels, carpet, and other cabin interior accessories used in VIP aircraft completion projects. This role performs interior installation tasks with increasing independence while ensuring work meets engineering specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. The technician may also assist in guiding less experienced technicians and supporting production workflow within the interior installation team. Essential Job Functions Install fabricated aircraft interior components including cabinetry, monuments, panels, trim, and other cabin interior furnishings. Interpret engineering drawings, material specifications, and installation instructions to ensure interiors meet design specifications, quality standards, and customer expectations. Coordinate material needs and request required components in a timely manner to maintain continuous workflow. Ensure all regulatory documentation and installation records are completed accurately and in accordance with the Comlux Repair Station Quality Manual (RSQM) and other applicable quality standards. Follow all department safety procedures and ensure proper usage of tools, equipment, and protective devices. Demonstrate working knowledge of company installation procedures, process specifications, and Internal Operating Procedures (IOPs). Assist in troubleshooting installation issues and identifying discrepancies between engineering drawings and actual installation requirements. Support and assist Technician I employees by sharing knowledge and helping maintain production efficiency. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications, Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED required. Technical or trade school training related to aviation or cabinetry installation preferred. Intermediate knowledge of aircraft interior installation processes within the corporate aviation completions environment. Minimum 2-5 years of aircraft interior installation experience, preferably in a VIP aircraft completion environment. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation. Required Skills and Abilities Strong working knowledge of aircraft interior installation processes and techniques. Familiarity with RSQM procedures and FAA regulatory requirements related to aircraft interior installations. Working knowledge of tools, materials, and installation methods used in aircraft interiors. Working knowledge of computers and software systems utilized by Comlux. Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement practices. Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with technicians, supervisors, and engineering teams. Ability to work independently while maintaining quality and production standards. Work Environment This position is based in an aircraft hangar environment and may involve: Exposure to varying temperatures and weather conditions Loud noise levels Use of heavy machinery and specialized tools Potential contact with chemicals or hazardous materials Working in confined aircraft interior spaces Why join us?
