Upholsterers needed both experienced and trainees Lousso Designs is looking for Upholsterers who are passionate and dedicated to the art of quality furniture making. Qualified experienced Upholsterers can have significantly greater earning potential based on work quality. On-the-job training is also offered for less experienced individuals who are excited to learn and grow a new career. Job Duties Works with a team of co-workers to jointly upholster furniture (such as sofas, loveseats, sleepers and ottomans) in a fast paced work while attaining required high quality standards and while complying with all safety rules and practices. Able to use common upholstery tools such as air powered staple guns, mauls, hammers, scissors, regulators, tack pullers, etc. Requires the ability to stand, walk, stoop, bend for 8 hours or more daily. Requires constant use of arms, hands, fingers and eyes to upholstered furniture Could require lifting up to 75 lbs, carrying 40 lbs or pushing and sliding up to 200 lbs. Requires ability to work while wearing required personal protective equipment such as safety glasses. Requires the ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and supervision Assists with any other task as directed by supervision.
