Job Summary Join our dynamic team as an Upholstery Assistant, where your craftsmanship and attention to detail will bring new life to furniture, automotive interiors, and custom projects. In this energetic role, you'll assist skilled upholsterers in fabricating, repairing, and restoring a variety of upholstered items. Help with the assembly and installation of upholstered components on furniture or automotive projects following detailed instructions. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools like sewing machines, hand tools, and power tools are properly stored and maintained. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues during fabrication or repair processes, contributing ideas for efficient workflows. Assist in the removal of old upholstery and prepare surfaces for new fabric application during restoration projects. Follow safety protocols diligently when handling tools and equipment to ensure a safe working environment. Qualifications Experience or interest in using hand tools, sewing machines, and power tools within a manufacturing or auto restoration setting is preferred. Basic knowledge of sewing techniques and upholstery processes is advantageous but not required; training will be provided. Strong attention to detail with an ability to follow instructions accurately. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to learn new skills related to assembly, manufacturing, and upholstery restoration. Physical stamina to stand, bend, and lift materials throughout shifts; comfort working with manual tools is essential.
