In this role, you will be responsible for restoring, repairing, and customizing automotive upholstery with precision and care. Responsibilities Remove old or damaged upholstery using hand tools and power tools with accuracy and safety. Measure, cut, sew, and install upholstery materials such as fabric, leather, vinyl, and foam to fit vehicle interiors perfectly. Operate sewing machines to create seamless seams and durable stitches that meet quality standards. Use various hand tools and power tools to assemble, trim, and finish upholstery components. Repair or replace damaged sections of upholstery, ensuring a flawless appearance and long-lasting durability. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship. Assist in auto restoration projects by applying specialized skills in upholstery assembly and finishing techniques. Skills Proficiency with hand tools such as scissors, staple guns, screwdrivers, and pry bars. Experience operating sewing machines for automotive or manufacturing purposes. Strong sewing skills with an eye for detail to produce clean, professional finishes. Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to auto interior assembly and repair. Familiarity with auto restoration techniques to match original specifications or customize interiors. Ability to work efficiently with power tools while adhering to safety protocols. Excellent attention to detail combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
