Rigging

Penmac Staffing is now hiring a Rigging Technician for a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity with a local boat manufacturing company. This position works Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime available on Fridays. Pay starts at $22.63 per hour. The Rigging Technician performs detailed rigging duties on a variety of boats and helps with inventory while learning and growing as part of the production team.

Requirements:

Ability to adjust to changing priorities and work with limited supervision. Legible handwriting and strong communication skills. Detail oriented, dependable, and committed to good attendance. Able to use power tools safely and follow all safety rules. Self-motivated with a willingness to learn new tasks. Must be willing to submit to a criminal background check and drug screening. Ability to perform housekeeping as part of continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

Rig, test, wrap, and check torque on all boat engines. Connect batteries, tubing, couplers, and related components. Apply silicone, add engine oil, and assemble jet lower units. Test steering systems and purge hydraulic cylinders. Install spare carriers, ski tow poles, towers, and buoyance pods. Option and install belly pans, lifting strakes, consoles, shifter kits, kicker kits, tiller handles, Biminis, jack plates, flip decks, cushions, and other optional parts. Install trolling motors, accessory brackets, floors, canopies, covers, electronics, and related components. Prepare boats for dealer meetings and photos; install props, t‑tops, windshields, and grab rails. Shrink wrap boats and prepare them for shipping. Inspect all boats for accuracy and quality.
