Job Description

Eidolon Designs is searching for a motivated and engaged new member of their woodworking production team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum 3 years of professional custom or semi-custom woodworking experience and be able to work independently within a traditional woodworking environment. Eidolon is a small, close-knit team that embraces challenges, new methods of working, and a resolve to do the best job possible. Projects range from large millwork packages to individual pieces of furniture. Due to our size, responsibilities tend to be shared and each employee is expected to be able to "wear many hats" throughout the shop.
Responsibilities will include:
Interpreting shop drawings and talking through process to optimize workflow Cutting and sizing sheet goods to accurate dimensions Sizing and milling of solid wood Cutting joinery Building casework, cabinetry, millwork, furniture, prototypes, and sculptures from start to finish Sanding and easing of edges to prep wood parts for finish Representing Eidolon during onsite installations of casework and cabinetry Routine maintenance of woodworking equipment Requirements for applicants: Diligent and detail-oriented Willing to learn, adapt, and incorporate feedback Critical thinking and problem-solving skills Able to think through multi-step processes to ensure a successful outcome Organized and punctual Work in a timely manner while also maintaining high standards for fit and finish Able to lift 50 pounds Able to work in a physically demanding environment for 8 hours per day Self-motivated and self-directed while remaining flexible with organizational priorities Understanding of traditional woodworking joinery methods Should be able to identify and safely operate the following equipment: Sliding table saw Table saw Miter saw Planer/Jointer Bandsaw Edgebander Drill press Random orbit sander Hand routers Various hand tools including combination squares, calipers, chisels, handsaws, tape measures, hammers, drills, hand planes Hand drafting and 3D modeling experience not required but preferred To apply please submit to andrew@eidolondesigns.
