Job Description

Role and Responsibilities Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Experience in quality management and working with textiles preferred but not required. Knowledge of Acceptable Quality Limit (AQL) sampling preferred but not required. Inspecting sewn products and recommending adjustments to compensate for errors or quality issues. Inspecting in-process production by reviewing 3 pieces from each sewer's initial work and initialing the work orders. Labeling and segregating the items that don't meet requirements. Providing feedback and recommendations to management regarding product quality and improvement initiatives. Developing and implementing quality control procedures and protocols to improve efficiency. Understanding of sewing standards (such as thread tension and seam allowances) preferred but not required. Experience working with sewing machines preferred but not required. Ensuring work orders are carefully read and followed. Meeting or exceeding daily and weekly output and quality goals. Ensuring accurate QC/sewing times through using GUI computer system. Maintaining safe operations by adhering to safety rules, directions, procedures. Maintaining the organization and cleanliness of assigned work area, machinery and shared spaces. May have ability to assist with repairs - sew exact measurements and tolerances as small as 1/16" and comprehending and executing according to written and verbal sewing instructions. Additional tasks as assigned by Management. Education requirements High school diploma or GED Qualifications and Preferred Skills Good command of English (spoken and written) required. Great attention to detail and strong professional ethics required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Flexible and adaptable to changing business needs Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment Proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively
