Job Summary The role involves the precision fabrication of custom marine products, including boat covers, bimini tops, enclosures, and interior cushions. This position requires operating heavy-duty industrial sewing machines and working with rugged materials like Sunbrella, vinyl, and marine-grade leather.

Key Responsibilities Industrial Sewing:

Operate single and double-needle industrial machines (often Juki or similar brands) to stitch heavy-duty fabrics.

Material Prep:

Measure, layout, and cut canvas and upholstery fabrics based on custom patterns or digital templates.

Component Assembly:

Install zippers, fasteners, grommets, and binding into canvas products.

Upholstery:

Assist in the construction of marine cushions and yacht interiors, including foam fitting and fabric stretching.

Quality Control:

Inspect finished goods for structural integrity and aesthetic precision, ensuring they meet "Kinder Quality" standards.

Maintenance:

Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance on sewing machines (re-threading, needle changes, tension adjustments).

Required Skills & Qualifications Experience:

Proven experience in industrial sewing is usually required. Background in marine canvas, upholstery, or awning fabrication is a significant plus.

Technical Literacy:

Ability to read and interpret patterns, blueprints, or work orders accurately.

Hand-Eye Coordination:

High dexterity for handling large, bulky pieces of fabric while maintaining straight, even seams.

Pay:

$18.00 - $25.00 per hour
