As a Furniture Restoration Specialist at Ashley's Distribution Center, you'll assess incoming damages, determine the smartest path to repair, and return furniture purchased through our HomeStores to like-new condition. Your craftsmanship keeps promises to our guests and powers our operation. What your day looks like Triage damaged casegoods, leather, and upholstered items from transit and handling, deciding on the most efficient repair plan. Perform top-surface touchups on case pieces and tables and complete solid-color paper/side refinishes. Rebuild small corners and execute advanced replacement-part repairs. Set up and operate the spray booth with a working understanding of its safe use. Complete upholstery work, including mechanism replacements. Keep your repair bay organized; flag tool, part, and hardware needs promptly. Partner with warehouse teams, sharing techniques for minor touchups during inspections. Document recurring damage patterns and follow through on corrective actions. Notify the Guest Response Team and DC Manager of repeated issues with specific items. Accurately report when a repair cannot be completed and why. Identify damage, loss, or surplus of goods and materials within the warehouse.
