Structural Craftsmanship:
Join a Premier Handrail Fabrication Department! Description for
Handrail Builder:
Precision Fitting & Layout:
Read, interpret, and layout structural shop drawings and weld symbols to fit complex handrail assemblies accurately without supervision.
Specialized Fabrication:
Fabricate structural fixtures, posts, and custom framing pieces required to complete architectural rail jobs in a timely manner.
Structural Welding:
Operate industrial welding equipment, managing precise electrode and wire selection to fuse carbon steel, aluminum, or stainless components cleanly.
Finishing Mastery:
Grind, clean, burn, back-scarf, preheat, and post-cool your own welds to ensure smooth, architectural-grade finishes.
Line Efficiency:
Maintain high quality control standards in a fast-paced custom fabrication shop environment. Details for
Handrail Builder:
Pay Rate:
Up to $25.00 / hour (Depending on Experience / DOE).
Schedule:
Monday - Friday (Consistent weekdays with great local stability).
Shift Hours:
7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (Day Shift).
Location:
Kelso, WA.
Status:
Full-Time, Long-Term Position. Requirements for
Handrail Builder:
Mandatory Experience:
Must have proven, hands-on experience specifically assembling and fabricating architectural or structural handrails.
Core Trade Skills:
Proficient as both a welder and a fitter; ability to fit intricate parts cleanly using custom shop fixtures.
Blueprint Literacy:
Expert capability reading shop prints and complex weld symbols.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to stand, stoop, bend, pull, and work actively on a shop floor for an 8-hour shift.
Compliance:
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen; some background restrictions may apply.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to safely lift and maneuver steel configurations weighing 50-75 lbs consistently.
