Job Description

Job Summary Village Veterinary Clinic is a dedicated small-animal practice committed to providing high-quality medical and surgical care in a compassionate, efficient, and client-focused environment. Responsibilities Veterinary Assistant duties include, but are not limited to: Facilitating patient appointments and workflow Gathering and accurately recording patient histories Presenting treatment plans to clients Preparing and administering vaccinations (as directed) Collecting laboratory samples (blood, urine, feces) Safely restraining patients during exams and procedures Assisting veterinarians during examinations and treatments Maintaining hospital cleanliness, organization, and sanitation Sterilizing instruments and maintaining treatment areas Providing patient care (feeding, watering, walking, administering medications) Filling prescriptions and preparing medications for discharge Accurately entering medical records, services, and charges into patient charts Provide excellent client service and education Qualifications Must be able to work a full time schedule (4x10 shift) Monday-Friday with rotating weekend shifts as needed Previous veterinary or animal care experience preferred, but not required Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Attention to detail and strong organizational skills Ability to safely handle and restrain animals of various sizes and temperaments Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude
Pay:
From $15.00 per hour
