In this energetic role, you will support veterinarians and veterinary technicians by assisting with daily clinical tasks, animal handling, and client communication. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help ensure our furry patients receive compassionate treatment in a fast-paced environment. Duties Assist with animal restraint during examinations, treatments, and procedures to ensure safety for both animals and staff Support veterinary technicians with medication administration, sample collection, and laboratory work to aid accurate diagnosis and treatment Handle patients with care and confidence, applying animal husbandry best practices Maintain cleanliness and aseptic techniques in treatment areas to uphold the highest standards of infection control Help with pet care activities such as feeding, bathing, grooming, and monitoring animal behavior for signs of distress or illness Support front desk operations by scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and communicating effectively with clients Assist with laboratory procedures including sample processing, data recording, and basic diagnostic testing Experience 2 years of hands on in clinic experience will be required for this position Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, anatomy, and restraint techniques is essential Hands-on experience with medication administration, catheterization, and aseptic techniques is a plus. Familiarity with laboratory procedures and pet care routines enhances your ability to excel in this position, Previous experience with Avimark/Petdesk is a plus. Strong communication skills for interacting confidently with clients and team members are necessary.
Pay:
$14.00 - $25.47 per hour
