Some of the responsibilities you will own in this role: The Kennel Assistant supports the hospital by assisting with daily animal care and facility upkeep.

Responsibilities include:

Cleaning and sanitizing kennels, cages, and boarding areas Feeding and providing fresh water to boarding and hospitalized pets Walking dogs and monitoring pets during outdoor breaks Observing pets for signs of illness, stress, or discomfort and reporting concerns to the veterinary team Laundering bedding, towels, and hospital linens Maintaining cleanliness of treatment areas, exam rooms, and common spaces Assisting veterinary assistants and technicians with basic animal handling and restraint when needed Ensuring pets are comfortable, safe, and receiving attentive care during their stay

Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and remain on your feet for extended periods Willingness to perform physical tasks including cleaning, lifting, bending, and walking dogs Ability to work in a fast-paced veterinary hospital environment
