Job Description

Entry level veterinary assistant. Full time long term job. This is not a summer job position. About Priority Pet Hospital, LLC Fear Free primary care for dogs and cats in Gilbert, Chandler, and Queen Creek, Arizona. Description Start your veterinary career at Priority Pet Hospital. We're looking for the right combination of passion and professionalism to assist our technicians and veterinarians. Veterinary assistants keep things moving in our treatment area and exam rooms. Candidates must be self-motivated, outgoing, and comfortable interacting with clients. Job Summary:
Assists and supports Veterinary Technicians and Senior Veterinary Assistants in the completion of their responsibilities. The Veterinary Assistant performs a variety of patient- and client-care duties and operational tasks, which may include, but are not limited to: providing patient husbandry, handling, and restraint; anticipating needs and preparing supplies and equipment for exams, treatments and procedures; maintaining clean and functional facilities and equipment; creating and maintaining medical records; and providing client service.
Experience and Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred:
Approved Veterinary Assistant certificate/graduate of NAVTA-accredited veterinary assistant training program.
Preferred:
Six months of relevant experience. Salary $17 - $19 per hour
