Job Overview Join our veterinary team as a Veterinary Assistant or Technician, where your passion for animal care and technical expertise will make a meaningful difference. No technician or assistant certification is required; we are happy to teach and train. This paid position offers an opportunity to work in a steady and fast-paced, compassionate environment supporting and caring for pets and their caring companions. You'll be instrumental in providing high-quality pet care, ensuring smooth clinic operations, and contributing to positive animal outcomes every day. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians with animal examinations, treatments, and procedures, ensuring proper restraint and safety for both animals and staff Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments following veterinary protocols set at this practice that meet with the standard of care Support laboratory work such as sample collection, processing, and basic diagnostic testing in house Handle animal restraint during procedures to minimize stress and ensure safety for animals and team members Maintain detailed medical records using veterinary terminology to document treatments, observations, and patient histories Assist with animal catheterization, venipuncture, and other technical procedures requiring aseptic technique and animal physiology knowledge Contribute to a clean, organized clinic environment by following infection control protocols and maintaining equipment Experience Prior kennel experience or hands-on animal handling experience in a veterinary clinic is highly valued Knowledge of safe animal restraint techniques in dogs and cats Laboratory experience involving sample collection or diagnostic testing enhances your ability to support clinical workflows We are committed to supporting your professional growth through ongoing training opportunities while providing a rewarding career path. Pay:
$19.00 - $24.00 per hour
