Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team at a busy veterinary clinic. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for pet owners, responsible for answering incoming calls, greeting visitors, providing administrative support, and assisting the veterinarians. This position requires excellent communication skills, a friendly and professional demeanor, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Greet visitors and answer incoming calls in a professional manner. Schedule appointments and surgeries. Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with administrative tasks as needed. Ensure the front desk and exam rooms are organized, clean, and stocked with necessary supplies. Assist with filing, data entry, and other clerical tasks. TPR pets and ready vaccines and prescriptions. Manage payments and cash drawer. Requirements Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care environment is preferred. Knowledge of veterinary care practices is an asset. Strong front desk management skills with an emphasis on customer service. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
