This energetic position offers the opportunity to work closely with animals, supporting veterinarians and pet owners alike. You will be instrumental in providing compassionate, efficient, and comprehensive veterinary services, ensuring every animal receives the highest standard of care. Whether assisting with diagnostics, performing laboratory procedures, or handling animals during examinations, your expertise will make a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their families. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations and diagnostic procedures by preparing equipment and maintaining a sterile environment using aseptic techniques Handle animals safely and confidently, utilizing animal restraint techniques and dog training skills to ensure smooth procedures Perform laboratory tasks such as collecting samples, running tests, and analyzing results to support diagnosis and treatment plans Maintain detailed records of animal health, including pet care routines, animal physiology observations, and medical histories Support dental procedures by understanding dental terminology and assisting with pet grooming and oral health assessments Manage animal husbandry duties including feeding, cleaning kennels, administering medications, and ensuring overall animal comfort Operate imaging equipment such as X-ray machines to assist in diagnostic processes involving animal anatomy knowledge Facilitate pet care education for owners on topics like animal handling, pet grooming, and basic veterinary terminology Experience Prior kennel experience or hands-on animal handling experience preferred Knowledge of veterinary critical care practices and laboratory procedures is highly advantageous Experience working with a variety of animals including dogs and cats Familiarity with veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and physiology enhances your ability to support clinical teams effectively Previous veterinary technician/assistant experience or related roles that involve animal catheterization and aseptic techniques are a plus Strong skills in dog handling, pet grooming, and pet care contribute to providing comprehensive support in our clinic environment Join us to be part of a passionate team dedicated to advancing animal health through energetic service and expert care.
