NO SUNDAYS, NO OVERNIGHTS.

We are a independently owned small animal general practice, serving Tucson's cats and dogs since 1992. We have a large, wonderful support staff for our 2 1/2+ doctor clinic and are looking for the right candidate to join our team. This position is Full-Time (40hrs/wk).

Responsibilities:

• Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals
• Perform routine procedures such as vaccinations, blood draws and dental cleanings
• Administer medications and treatments, as directed by veterinarians
• Prepare animals for surgery and assist during procedures
• Monitor animals during surgery/treatments and recovery from anesthesia
• X-rays positioning and taking x-rays
• Maintain accurate medical records for all patients
• Provide compassionate care and handle animals with patience and kindness
• Provide client education and exceed client's customer service expectations with empathy, accuracy and consistency

Experience & Skills:

• Previous experience working as a veterinary assistant/technician is preferred
• Knowledge of animal behavior, anatomy, and common veterinary procedures
• Familiarity with veterinary equipment and tools
• Strong communication skills to effectively and efficiently interact with pet owners and team members
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Compensation is based upon experience.
