Job Type Full time VCA Mission Animal Hospital is an AAHA-accredited general practice seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our hospital team.
Salary:
$ 21 - $ 26 / hour
Location:
25 W Mission Rd, Alhambra, CA 91801
Schedule:
T, W, TH, F
with Saturday and Sunday rotation We are a 3 doctor practice open Monday-Friday 7:00 am-7:00 pm and Saturdays 8:00 am-4:00 pm. Why Join VCA Mission Animal Hospital? The skills that you will be utilizing include, but are not limited to: Providing compassionate and skilled nursing care to critically ill and injured animals Assisting the veterinarian and technician staff with medical procedures, including triage, diagnostics, and treatments Monitoring patients' vital signs and responding promptly to changes in condition Catheter placement Venipuncture Radiology Patient recovery
Client Communication:
loading exam rooms, presenting estimates Maintaining accurate medical records and ensuring compliance with hospital protocols Collaborating with other members of the veterinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients
Qualifications:
Must have documented previous Animal Hospital experience Hold a current California RVT license Flexibility in hours, including but not limited to evenings, weekends, and holidays Customer service skills, including Phone skills Working knowledge of computers Excellent communications skills
