Job Description
California Animal Specialty and Emergency (CASE) is a new, rapidly evolving Emergency/ Specialty small animal practice in Anaheim, CA. We are a 24/7 ER with board-certified specialists in Neurology, Radiology, Ophthalmology and Surgery. We are currently recruiting a Doctor Assistant for overnight shifts. This position requires knowledge of emergency/specialty veterinary medicine and an empathetic and diplomatic approach to client interactions. Critical thinking skills and a solutions-based approach are essential elements for success in this role. Prior experience as a Doctor Assistant in an Emergency/ Specialty hospital is a prerequisite for this position. Primary skills required for this position: Triage patients, including ER patients Communicate with clients to obtain histories, go over discharges and paperwork Help maintain the flow of the doctor's schedules & triages Create and present estimates to clients Create treatment sheets per doctor's instructions Manage daily tasks: Lab results, filing, call backs/updates, entering charges, Ezyvet , Smart Flow , discharges, etc. Help clean and maintain the overall treatment floor and hospital This is a full-time permanent position with extremely competitive compensation.
