In this energetic role, you will support veterinarians and veterinary technicians by assisting with animal handling, treatment, and clinic operations. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help ensure our patients receive compassionate, efficient, and high-quality care. Duties Assist with animal restraint and handling to ensure safety for both animals and staff during examinations and procedures Support veterinary technicians with medication administration, sample collection, and laboratory work Maintain cleanliness and aseptic technique in treatment areas to prevent infections and promote optimal recovery Help with animal husbandry tasks such as feeding, grooming, and monitoring health status Prepare examination rooms, tools, and supplies for daily procedures and client visits Support front desk activities including appointment scheduling, client communication, and record keeping Handle pet care responsibilities including feeding, walking (especially for canine patients), and ensuring comfort throughout their visit Requirements Prior kennel experience or animal care background preferred; enthusiasm for working with animals is essential Knowledge of animal physiology, anatomy, and veterinary terminology to assist effectively in clinical tasks Experience with animal restraint techniques, medication administration, and catheterization is highly desirable Strong animal handling skills across various species including dogs, cats, and horses (equine experience is a plus) Ability to follow aseptic techniques during procedures to maintain a sterile environment Laboratory experience or familiarity with veterinary diagnostic processes is advantageous Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members in a professional manner This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to expand their veterinary knowledge while providing compassionate pet care.
