Schedule Monday-Friday with occasional Saturday when needed Shifts available: Monday through Friday, possibly 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Please apply only if you can meet the scheduling requirements listed above. Ideal Candidate Qualifications Minimum of 1 year experience working in a veterinary hospital Comfortable performing blood draws Moderate to advanced understanding of medical terminology Professional demeanor during clerical, client-facing, and emergency situations Ability to: Work tech appointments Obtain complete patient histories Perform vital checks Build and review estimates with clients Knowledgeable in preventative health care and vaccine schedules , with the ability to educate clients clearly and confidently Schedule follow-up appointments Process prescription refill requests Working knowledge of OTC and prescription products Preferred (Not Required) Skills 2+ years of veterinary experience Experience with: Surgical assisting Anesthesia monitoring Familiarity with Cornerstone Proficiency in IV catheter placement and jugular blood draws Work Environment While performing the duties of this role, team members may be exposed to: Aggressive or fractious patients Infected animals and controlled substances Loud noises, unpleasant odors, and animal waste Potential bites, scratches, and exposure to contagious diseases Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision, Chiropractic & Acupuncture coverage 401(k) with up to 4% employer match PTO and California Sick Pay Pet benefits, including Trupanion Pet Insurance contributions Employee discounts Employee Assistance Program (no cost to employees)
