The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and a strong understanding of veterinary practices. This role involves assisting veterinarians and veterinary technicians in providing high-quality care to our animal patients. Candidates with animal-work related experience, animal science/pre-vet graduates are preferred. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures, ensuring that animals are comfortable and secure. Administer medications as directed by the veterinarian or veterinary technician. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient. Assist with preparing animals for surgery, including pre-operative assessments and monitoring during recovery. Clean and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment to maintain a safe environment. Responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and organized veterinary hospital environment by thoroughly cleaning exam rooms, kennels, treatment areas, and common spaces to support patient health, safety, and overall hospital operations.

Qualifications:

1 year of experience in the veterinary field preferred Pre-veterinary students are encouraged to apply Must be passionate about animal care and working with clients Quick learner, strong team player, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Experience Candidates should possess the following skills and knowledge: Familiarity with veterinary terminology is essential for effective communication within the clinic. Experience in animal care or as a veterinary assistant is preferred but not mandatory. Animal handling experience A Resume and Cover Letter MUST be submitted to be considered.
