Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and positive team member to join our team! We are a very close team that will support each other and help each other learn and develop. We want you to succeed. We are a drama free, non toxic independantly owned and run practice (nothing here of interest to you if you love the corporate vibe). We have an awesome supportive management structure who will have your back and will not allow clients to bully our team. We are a busy, full-service animal hospital in Canyon Lake, you will work hard and be rewarded for it and we are specifically looking for a driven motivated, self starter assistant to join our team. You will be given the tools needed to succeed and expected to ask questions when you don't know. We offer preventative medicine, dentistry, surgery, and we have an interest in working with exotic animals! Ideal candidates will possess the following: Minimum 2-3 years direct experience Excellent client relationships and communication Excellent communication skills with fellow colleagues, clients and patients. Motivating individuals to achieve their best, and helping the team to work together seamlessly. Excellent understanding on preventatives and why they are so important to be able to relay this to our clients to help protect their pets. Assisting with the daily flow of exams and procedures. Surgical Prep/Anesthesia Monitoring An interest in Dental procedures for cats and dogs (if licensed). Restraint and professional animal handling. Anesthetic induction, monitoring and recovery (if licensed). Cystocentesis, venipuncture, and placing IV catheters Experience with running lab equipment Experience with Avimark is a plus In addition, we urge our employees to maintain a strong work ethic, a focus on teamwork, communication skills, multi-tasking ability, and the capacity to work without direct supervision is required.
