Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant/Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals and excellent customer service skills.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist veterinarians in routine examinations and surgical procedures
  • Perform animal catheterization and X-rays as needed
  • Handle and restrain animals during procedures with care and compassion
  • Conduct laboratory tests and analyze results
  • Provide post-operative care and monitoring of animals
  • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure proper documentation of treatments
  • Educate pet owners on proper animal care and medication administration Qualifications (Preference but willing to teach)
  • Experience in animal handling and care
  • Knowledge of veterinary terminology
  • Ability to handle dogs and cats in a gentle and confident manner
  • Familiarity with medical collection procedures
  • Understanding of animal catheterization techniques
  • Previous experience in a kennel or veterinary setting is a plus
  • Training in dog handling or dog training would be beneficial
  • Knowledge of veterinary critical care is advantageous
