A fantastic opportunity for a Full-time Veterinary Assistant to join our AMAZING and
FRIENDLY
team at VCA Coast Animal Hospital in the heart of Hermosa Beach!
Location:
560 Pacific Coast Hwy, Hermosa Beach, CA 90254
Schedule:
Full-time, 5x8-hour shifts
Salary:
$17
  • 23 per hour Position available for a full-time, experienced Veterinary Assistant.
Responsibilities require proficiency in Phlebotomy, IV Catheter Placement, low-stress handling, digital radiography, and administration of vaccines and medications. The ideal candidate will also possess great attendance, client communication skills, superior customer service skills, attention to detail, and a desire to work in a great team atmosphere. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Venipuncture Catheter placement Radiology Physical examinations, patient assessment, and record keeping Surgical preparation and assisting Dentistry Laboratory work Pharmacy Patient recovery Compassionate care for hospitalized patients Client Relations Housekeeping/Maintenance
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have documented previous Animal Hospital experience Animal Handling Anesthesia monitoring (Preferred but not required) Dentistry (Preferred, not required) Capable of being cross-trained for front office receptionist duties that will be expected in the job Must be friendly, outgoing, "People-oriented." Flexibility in hours, including but not limited to evenings, weekends, and holidays Customer service skills, including Phone skills Working knowledge of computers Excellent communication skills Team player willing to learn new techniques and treatments Why Join The VCA Family?
