Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Veterinary Assistant and become a vital part of providing exceptional animal care! In this energetic role, you will support veterinarians and veterinary technicians by assisting with animal handling, and medical procedures. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help ensure our furry patients receive compassionate treatment in a clean, organized, and efficient environment. Responsibilities Assist with animal restraint and handling to ensure safety for both pets and staff during examinations and procedures Support veterinary technicians with medication administration, sample collection, and laboratory tasks Maintain cleanliness and aseptic techniques in treatment areas, surgical suites, and kennels to uphold high standards of hygiene Assist in animal physiology assessments, anatomy identification, and basic diagnostic procedures under supervision Support kennel operations by cleaning cages, monitoring animal health status, and ensuring proper animal husbandry practices Qualifications Previous kennel experience or animal handling background preferred; experience in veterinary clinics is highly valued Knowledge of veterinary terminology, pet care protocols, and animal restraint techniques Experience with medication administration, animal catheterization, and aseptic procedures is a plus Familiarity with laboratory processes related to veterinary diagnostics or sample processing is advantageous Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members Ability to handle animals safely across various species including dogs, cats, and equine clients if applicable Willingness to learn new skills related to veterinary critical care, laboratory work, and advanced animal physiology Embark on a rewarding career supporting the health and happiness of animals!
