Overview:

Lincoln Pet Clinic is currently seeking experienced Veterinary Assistants to join our team on a full-time or part-time basis. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to our furry patients. If you have a passion for animals and possess the necessary skills and qualifications, we would love to hear from you.

• A minimum of 1yr+ experience required to be considered for this position.

Responsibilities:

• Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
• Assist with surgery prep, procedures & post-op care.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms, kennels, and equipment
• Handle and restrain animals during examinations and procedures
• Collect samples for laboratory testing
• Monitor vital signs of animals under veterinary care
• Provide compassionate care and comfort to animals and their owners
• Assist the CSR team with checking in clients, processing payments and answering calls as needed.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant is required (1+ years)
• Knowledge of veterinary critical care, aseptic technique, and veterinary terminology
• Familiarity with animal husbandry practices and animal catheterization
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with clients in a professional manner. Must be comfortable generating estimates and going over treatment plans with clients.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position: Kneeling, bending over & ability to lift 50+lb on a regular basis.
