Position Overview We are seeking a reliable, motivated Veterinary Assistant who thrives in a structured, fast-paced environment. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and hospital cleanliness. The ideal candidate is team-oriented, proactive, and able to follow through on responsibilities with consistency.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist veterinarians and technicians during exams, treatments, and procedures. Safely and effectively restrain animals for examinations and treatments. Perform venipuncture and assist with placement of IV catheters ( preferred but not required ). Prepare and maintain exam rooms and treatment areas. Clean and disinfect kennels, equipment, and hospital areas consistently throughout the day. Monitor hospitalized patients and report any changes promptly. Support daily patient care including feeding, walking, and maintaining comfort. Accurately follow treatment plans and ensure tasks are completed fully. Maintain accurate records and assist with workflow using hospital systems. Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and clients.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a veterinary hospital or animal care setting preferred. Basic knowledge of animal handling and restraint techniques. Experience with venipuncture and IV catheter placement is a plus. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational and time management skills. Reliable attendance and strong work ethic required. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Maintain a high level of accountability in completing assigned tasks. Follow hospital protocols, workflows, and cleanliness standards. Communicate effectively with all team members to support patient care. Take initiative and contribute to a positive, team-focused work environment.
