Job Description

TruVet Specialty & Emergency Hospital is a growing specialty and emergency veterinary hospital serving Sonoma and Marin Counties. We are currently seeking a dedicated Kennel Assistant to support our patient care and hospital operations teams. Why TruVet? What You'll Bring Successful candidates will be dependable, hardworking, and comfortable working around animals in a fast-paced veterinary setting. We are looking for individuals who: Enjoy working around animals and supporting patient care teams Take pride in maintaining a clean and organized environment Demonstrate strong attention to detail and follow-through Communicate effectively with team members Work well independently and as part of a collaborative team Value compassion, professionalism, accountability, and integrity Are comfortable performing physically active work throughout their shift Responsibilities The Kennel Assistant plays an important role in supporting patient care and hospital operations.
Duties include:
Cleaning and maintaining patient kennels and housing areas Washing, drying, folding, and organizing laundry Restocking treatment rooms, supplies, and inventory throughout the hospital Cleaning and organizing treatment and patient care areas Maintaining the patient kitchen Washing and sanitizing dishes, bowls, and feeding supplies Maintaining outdoor dog yards and relief areas Assisting with waste removal and general hospital organization Supporting the Environmental Services and Nursing teams as needed Ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, clients, and staff Compensation Compensation is based on experience and qualifications.
Kennel Assistant:
$19-$20.99 per hour
Additional Shift Differential Weekend Differential:
