The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in animal care and veterinary practices, demonstrating proficiency in various technical skills necessary for providing high-quality care to our patients. As a Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting veterinarians with medical procedures, ensuring the health and well-being of animals, and providing exceptional client service. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures Perform routine laboratory tests and analyze results Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed Monitor animal patients during anesthesia and recovery Conduct diagnostic imaging procedures such as X-rays Maintain accurate medical records and documentation Provide proper animal restraint and handling techniques during examinations Educate pet owners on animal husbandry, care, and wellness practices Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic environment, adhering to aseptic techniques Participate in dental cleanings and understand dental terminology related to veterinary practices Support kennel operations including feeding, grooming, and exercising animals Qualifications RVT License Requested but will hire based on skills/ability. Previous veterinary assistant / technician experience is required. Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, anatomy, and critical care practices Familiarity with laboratory procedures and equipment used in veterinary medicine Experience with dog and cat handling, animal restraint techniques, and catheterization procedures Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail If you are passionate about animal care and possess the necessary skills to thrive as a Veterinary Technician, we encourage you to apply.
