Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant - Day Shift

WHO WE ARE

We are an AAHA accredited multi-doctor 24 hour veterinary hospital that has recently been fully remodeled. We are in search of outstanding people who like to work in a team environment. Experience working in an animal hospital setting is a plus. We are looking for a dedicated team player to join our team of professionals. We are a highly knowledgeable fun loving team that is passionate about veterinary medicine and we are looking to add the right person. Great customer service and a love for animals along with good communication skills are a must!

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Experience of 2 or more years as a technician is preferred Experience working in an emergency setting is a plus or ability to triage Experience with patient care, IV fluids, injectables and drugs Experience with catheters, phlebotomy and venipuncture Experience with hospitalized patient care and treatments Experience with radiology, ultrasound and common lab machines Experience with anesthesia, dental treatments and surgery Good ability to do medical math and fluid calculations Good ability to work with people in stressful situations Good teamwork and the ability to work well individually Takes pride in cleaning and organization of the work environment Must be people and animal friendly with a great bedside manner Experience with common computer programs Great attitude and a positive, happy personality is very important

SHIFTS & HOURS

Full-time position,

Shift Hours:

Early shift from 7 am to 5 pm and late shift from 9 am to 7 pm, shifts will rotate start times. Applicant should be able to work either shift Shifts are scheduled seven days a week Rotating shifts for weekends and holidays Rotating on-call shift in case of emergency

REGULAR AND BONUS PAY

Base pay + bonus pay (every other week) Holiday bonus of $50 - $150 per shift depending upon holiday
