Join the Sactown Vet Team as a Full-Time Kennel Assistant!
Location:
Sacramento, CA |
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 9:55am - 6:25pm, 5 eight-hour shifts Are you passionate about animal care and looking for a role where you can make a meaningful impact every day? Sactown Vet is seeking a dedicated Kennel Technician to join our compassionate, Fear Free Certified, and Cat Friendly Certified team! We foster a positive, respectful work environment and uphold a strict no gossip policy to ensure a supportive and professional atmosphere for both staff, clients and our patients. We're a privately and female-owned practice that's redefining the veterinary experience for pets and their people. What You'll Do:
As a Kennel Technician, you'll play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and comforting environment for our patients.
Your responsibilities will include:
Feeding and caring for hospitalized and drop off pets Cleaning and disinfecting kennels, cages, and hospital areas Monitoring patients and reporting changes in behavior or condition Providing gentle handling and support in accordance with Fear Free practices Supporting the veterinary and technician team as needed

Vacation Time:
60 hours annually after 1 year, with rollover available (up to 120 hours cap)
Sick Leave:
50 hours starting at hire
