If you love animals, don't mind getting your hands dirty, and want to learn the ins and outs of veterinary medicine, we want to hear from you! Job Summary This position is perfect for someone looking to build a career in the veterinary field. You will be the backbone of our hospital's cleanliness and organization, while also stepping up to directly assist our medical team with patient handling and surgical preparation. Key Responsibilities Facility Care & Organization Maintain hospital cleanliness: Deep clean and sanitize kennels, runs, treatment areas, and exam rooms to ensure a sterile, disease-free environment.
Laundry & Upkeep:
Keep up with the never-ending flow of hospital laundry (towels, blankets, beddings) so our patients are always cozy.
Inventory & Stocking:
Unpack deliveries and keep treatment areas, exam rooms, and kennel bays fully stocked with supplies.
Medical Support & Surgical Prep Instrument Care:
Properly clean, sanitize, and sterilize surgical instruments.
Surgical Packs:
Master the art of wrapping and autoclaving surgical packs to ensure they are ready for the vet team.
Patient Restraint:
Safely and compassionately restrain dogs and cats for exams, blood draws, vaccines, and catheter placements, prioritizing low-stress handling techniques.
Patient Comfort:
Feed, water, exercise, and monitor the well-being of hospitalized patients and boarders, reporting any changes in behavior or health to the medical staff.
Qualifications & Skills Experience:
Previous experience in a veterinary clinic, animal shelter, or boarding facility is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person with a stellar work ethic.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to lift up to [50] lbs, stand for long periods, and handle active (and sometimes fractious) pets. Attention to

Crucial for sterilizing surgical instruments and following strict sanitation protocols.
Team Player:
A positive attitude and the ability to communicate effectively with technicians, veterinarians, and clients.
Reliability:
Animals rely on us every day, so punctual and dependable attendance is a must.
Pay:
$19.00 - $21.00 per hour
