Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Veterinary Assistant/Client Services Representative, where your enthusiasm for animal care and exceptional customer service will make a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their owners. Duties Greet clients warmly, schedule appointments, and manage patient check-in and check-out processes with professionalism and efficiency Assist veterinary staff with animal restraint, medication administration, and basic animal handling during examinations and procedures Maintain cleanliness and organization of kennels, treatment areas, and laboratory spaces, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques Handle laboratory procedures including sample collection, processing, and record keeping in accordance with veterinary protocols Provide compassionate pet care support Educate pet owners about pet care, medication instructions, and post-treatment procedures to promote health and wellness at home Skills Prior veterinary experience combined with animal husbandry knowledge to ensure high standards of animal care Veterinary technician or veterinary clinic experience that demonstrates familiarity with veterinary terminology and clinical workflows Strong animal handling skills including restraint techniques for dogs and cats Ability to administer medications accurately while maintaining aseptic technique during procedures such as animal catheterization or injections Laboratory experience involving sample collection, processing, or diagnostic testing is highly valued Excellent front desk skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients and team members in a professional manner Knowledge of veterinary critical care practices and emergency response protocols to assist in urgent situations This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to grow their expertise in veterinary medicine while providing compassionate care. Pay:
$20.00 - $24.00 per hour
