What You'll Do Assist in exams, treatments, and surgical procedures. Prepare patients for exams by gathering medical histories and taking vital signs. Collect blood samples using proper venipuncture techniques. Assist with lab work, sample collection, and processing. Obtain high-quality diagnostic radiographs following safety and positioning guidelines. Perform ear cytology, cleaning, and treatment preparation. Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates, education, and support regarding patient care. Educate pet owners on pet care, medications, and post-treatment instructions. Maintain clean and organized treatment and exam areas.
