Job Description
Description Veterinary Assistant Park Animal Hospital San Francisco, CA Full-time Compensation is negotiable based on experience and credentials, with an expected starting range of $22
- 28/hour .
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 5-8 hours per day. No Weekends! About You As a Veterinary Assistant, you'll support patient care from intake through discharge. In this role, you'll assist with outpatient treatments, collect samples, run basic lab work, support procedures, and help create a smooth, compassionate experience for pets and their families. You care deeply about patient outcomes, and we're committed to supporting your growth and success. Qualifications At least 1 year of veterinary assistant experience highly preferred Must be comfortable with proper animal restraint, patient handling, and maintaining a clean, organized hospital environment Experience giving injections and drawing blood preferred Comfortable monitoring anesthesia and using standard patient monitoring equipment Collaborative team player who is eager to learn and self-motivated Enjoys a fast-paced environment and can adapt to changing priorities Proficient computer skills Able to multitask, stay organized, and prioritize effectively Responsibilities ( include but are not limited to): Assist with patient restraint, handling, and basic nursing care, including pre- and post-operative support Support the veterinary team with treatments, procedures, medication preparation, and sample collection Communicate clearly with clients about care instructions, treatment plans, and estimates Maintain accurate medical records and enter charges and services in the practice management system Help create a clean, efficient, and compassionate experience for patients, clients, and team members You'll Grow with Us Here, you can grow your career as best fits you through access to comprehensive learning and skillset programs.
