Must have prior experience working at a veterinary practice.

Job description:

We are a single-doctor practice dedicated to providing excellent care to our clients and their pets. The Vet Assistant will assist the doctor with daily tasks such as recording and reporting medical history, restraining dogs and cats that vary in age and weight, administering vaccines, and other treatments necessary. Other tasks include answering phones, scheduling appointments, and cleaning.

Requirements:

• minimum 6 months experience in a veterinary practice
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Be able to lift up to 50lbs.
• Must be able to multitask and work efficiently.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Must have a passion for animals.
• Knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and veterinary staff
• Ability to handle dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work Saturdays Hours per week: 30+ Typical end time: 6:30PM Typical start time: 9
