Join us for the ultimate unboxing! Bonnie Mara Animal Hospital is a brand new, proudly independent small animal hospital actively hiring for all positions. The paint is drying, the equipment is arriving daily and the hospital is coming to life! We are currently looking for individuals who have at least 2 years experience working in a veterinary hospital as a vet assistant. We are intentionally building a collaborative, supportive, team-working environment where patient care matters, clients matter and you matter! We are looking for kind, capable and dependable people who are proud of their client communication skills, care deeply about the work they do, motivated to learn and grow, understand the importance of low-stress (fear-free) handling and excited about the prospect of helping to shape a hospital from day one! We aren't just opening boxes. We are opening a hospital with intention. If you want to help build something special from the beginning, we would love to meet you! Skills Preferred 2+ years of experience working in a veterinary environment knowledge of low-stress (fear free handling) and the understanding that "spicy" patients are really just fearful, anxious pets knowledge of EzyVet veterinary software (or eager willingness to learn it) you like the patients AND the clients you understand the benefit of spray cheese and churu you can stay calm during emergencies and useful during chaos all while maintaining attention to detail you know the average Labrador will eat a bandage while you go to get the e-collar you understand patient care is keeping things clean, stocked and running smoothly you can clean an exam room quickly without making it look like you cleaned it quickly you are familiar with a treatment room soundtrack of dogs barking, syringe pumps beeping, centrifuges spinning and someone asking where the clippers went you have the ability to safely lift and carry up to 40lbs independently. you have the ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel and move quickly throughout an entire shift you are comfortable working around animals of all sizes, temperaments and medical conditions you know why there is no five second rule in a veterinary hospital and yet still enjoy coming to work you thrive in an organized but busy work environment and know the busy days are the fun days that end before you realize they started! willingness to be a solid team member and learn and adapt in a growing hospital environment
