Job Description

Emergency Veterinary Assistant We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and hardworking Veterinary Assistant to join our fast-paced Emergency Veterinary Center. This position is ideal for someone who works well under pressure, enjoys helping animals in critical situations, and thrives in a team-oriented environment. The Veterinary Assistant will work closely with doctors and technicians to support patient care, maintain hospital cleanliness and organization, and assist with daily emergency hospital operations.
Responsibilities:
Assist veterinary technicians and doctors with patient care and treatments Restrain patients safely for exams and procedures Monitor and assist with hospitalized patients Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the hospital Prepare treatment areas, equipment, and supplies Assist with laboratory samples, radiographs, and patient intake Help maintain accurate medical records and patient charts Support team workflow in a fast-paced emergency environment Provide compassionate care to patients and excellent service to clients
Qualifications:
Previous veterinary experience preferred Emergency veterinary experience is a plus Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure Strong communication and teamwork skills Reliable, professional, and positive attitude Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed Ability to lift and restrain animals safely
