Our Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist will be responsible for providing assistance to pet parents and comfort to the animals in our care. This position will be responsible for interacting with clients and pet patients in a professional manner, as well as ensuring the safety of all animals in their care. •MUST BE ABLE TO WORK WEEKENDS
•Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Greet and welcome clients and their pets Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and provide information to clients- Assist with check-in and check-out procedures for pets Maintain accurate records of client information and pet medical history Handle payments and process invoices Maintain a clean and healthy environment for the comfort and well-being of our animals. Provide animal handling skills to staff members, as needed. Ensure that all necessary supplies are stocked and ready for use daily. Coordinate with veterinary staff to ensure smooth flow of appointments Provide basic information on pet grooming services and dog training programs Assist with any animal emergencies that may arise. Communicate effectively with all staff members, both on-site and off-site. Perform other duties as assigned by management.Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age or older. High school diploma or equivalent Previous vet hospital experience preferred Previous experience in a customer service role preferred Knowledge of basic veterinary terminology is a plus Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Compassionate and caring attitude towards animals and their owners Must have reliable transportation Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., occasionally up to 75 lbs. As a Veterinary Receptionist/Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our clients receive exceptional service and their pets are well taken care of.
