We pride ourselves on building lasting relationships with our clients and their pets while fostering a supportive and collaborative team environment. Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Veterinary Assistant / Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, enjoys working with both animals and people, and thrives in a fast-paced veterinary setting. Previous veterinary experience is preferred; however, we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a genuine passion for animal care. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians and technicians during examinations, treatments, surgeries, and dental procedures Safely restrain and handle dogs and cats of various sizes and temperaments Provide nursing care to hospitalized and boarding patients, including feeding, walking, monitoring, and documenting changes in condition Prepare and maintain exam rooms, treatment areas, and surgical suites Assist with laboratory procedures, sample collection, and diagnostic imaging Prepare and dispense medications as directed by veterinarians Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the clinic Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients Support daily clinic operations and work collaboratively with the veterinary team Qualifications Previous veterinary assistant, technician assistant, kennel assistant, or animal care experience preferred Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to multitask and remain organized in a busy environment Compassion for animals and their owners Willingness to learn and develop new skills Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and safely handle animals with assistance when needed Reliable, punctual, and professional What We Offer Supportive and positive team environment Hands-on training and mentorship Continuing education opportunities Employee pet care discounts Health insurance benefits for eligible full-time employees Opportunity for growth within the practice Schedule Full-time or Part-time Day shifts; ideally Wednesday-Saturday Education High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
