Job Description

Small animal practice seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to fill assistant and receptionist roles. Our clinic is growing and we find we need more support staff. Clinic is open Monday through Thursday 800 AM to 530 PM. No weekend or evening hours required. At least one year of experience in a clinical setting is required in order to be considered. Compensation is based upon level of experience and ability to jump right in. We are a small practice looking to add a part to full time person to our team. Summary As a Veterinary Assistant/CSR, you will be integral to providing compassionate care and support to animals and their owners. Reporting to the veterinary team, your core skills in animal handling, veterinary terminology, and pet care will be essential in assisting with daily operations. Your premium skills in medication administration and front desk management will enhance client interactions and ensure efficient clinic flow. Additionally, your relevant experience in animal physiology and veterinary assistance will contribute to the overall well-being of our patients, making you a vital part of our dedicated team. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians in examining and treating animals, ensuring their comfort and safety. Handle and restrain animals during procedures, utilizing proper techniques to minimize stress. Administer medications and vaccinations as directed, while maintaining accurate records. Provide exceptional customer service at the front desk, addressing client inquiries and scheduling appointments. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including animal care areas and equipment.
