Job Description

Veterinary Technician Assistant If you are looking to begin your career path in the veterinary care field, joining the team at Colorado Canine Orthopedics will allow you to do just that. Our Veterinary Technician Assistants are a vital part of our team; working closely with the technicians and doctors to ensure that each patient receives the highest quality of care. Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Support veterinarians to ensure exceptional veterinary care; advocate for patients Assist doctors and technicians during patient treatments and procedures including x-rays, restraint for exams and IV catheters, running bloodwork Basic animal husbandry and care Cleaning, laundry, and kennel maintenance Maintaining surgical suite and equipment before, during and after surgery Maintaining and understanding the sterility of equipment Constantly advance your knowledge base and skill set Willingness to guide, mentor, and support fellow team members
Skills and Qualifications:
Excellent communication skills with clients and team members Proficient attendance Proficient time management, ability to solve problems, learn, and handle multiple tasks Enthusiastic team player with a patient, and positive professional attitude. Motivated and driven to learn and grow skills and knowledgebase Must be able to lift and restrain pets of at least 50 pounds, and work on feet most of the day.

Job Type:
Full time, four 10-hour shifts (including Saturday's)
Pay:
