- Denver, Colorado Five Points Animal Hospital is seeking a dynamic, adaptable team member to join our growing, locally owned hospital as a Hybrid Customer Service Representative (CSR) / Veterinary Assistant (VA) .
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both client-facing responsibilities and hands-on patient care, and who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This is a full-time, non-exempt position , scheduled as five 8-hour shifts (5x8) . You'll be joining a brand-new, modern facility with state-of-the-art equipment, serving pets and their families in our local community. Role OverviewCustomer Service Responsibilities Facilitate client communications via phone, text, email, and in person, ensuring a positive and compassionate client experience Manage and coordinate appointment and surgical schedules Maintain accurate and up-to-date client and patient records, including documentation of communications Complete financial transactions and support check-in/check-out processes Collaborate with veterinary professionals and appropriately escalate complex client concerns Utilize cloud-based practice management software (EzyVet) Operate and troubleshoot office equipment as needed, including phones, mobile workstations, credit card terminals, printers, and scanners Veterinary Assistant Responsibilities Safely and effectively restrain patients Obtain patient histories, weights, and TPRs as needed Support hospital admissions by verifying consent forms, patient information, medications, and fasting status Perform standard appointment procedures as directed (e.g., vaccinations, nail trims, ear cleanings) Assist with diagnostics, including laboratory testing and radiology Assist with anesthesia and monitoring as directed, based on experience and state requirements Assist with surgical and dental procedures, including orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries when applicable Clean, maintain, and care for medical and surgical equipment, including instrument processing and autoclave use Facilities & Hospital Support Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming hospital environment Adhere to OSHA and hospital safety standards Support overall hospital flow and teamwork across departments Schedule & Compensation Full-time / Part-Time, non-exempt Five 8-hour shifts (5x8 schedule) Competitive salary Scrub allowance provided after 90 days of employment Benefits Paid time off Paid holidays Pet discounts 401(k) Medical benefits (employer-contributed premiums) Dental insurance Employee assistance program Health savings account Professional development assistance Success in This Role 2-3+ years of veterinary experience preferred 4+ years of customer service experience Associate or bachelor's degree preferred Strong passion for helping pets and people High emotional intelligence with excellent communication skills Confidence handling client concerns and conflict resolution Ability to communicate effectively with veterinary professionals across multiple roles Strong time management, multitasking, and organizational skills Reliable, detail-oriented, and accountable team player
