In this role, you will provide exceptional nursing care, assist with diagnostic procedures, and support veterinarians in delivering comprehensive veterinary services. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help ensure a smooth, efficient, and compassionate environment for every pet that walks through our doors. This paid position offers a rewarding opportunity to apply your veterinary technician skills in a fast-paced, collaborative setting dedicated to animal health and well-being. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures by preparing equipment and maintaining sterile fields using aseptic techniques. Perform animal restraint and handling with confidence to ensure safety for both pets and staff during examinations and treatments. Conduct laboratory tests, prepare samples, and interpret results to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Manage pet care routines including grooming, feeding, administering medications, and monitoring vital signs to support patient recovery. Maintain detailed medical records, update patient charts, and document procedures accurately for legal compliance and continuity of care. Support dental procedures by understanding dental terminology, performing dental cleanings, and assisting with pet oral health assessments. Operate radiology equipment such as X-ray machines to produce clear images while adhering to safety protocols. Assist with animal husbandry duties including cleaning kennels, feeding schedules, and ensuring a clean environment for all animals. Handle dog training exercises when applicable to improve behavior during veterinary visits or treatments. Support equine cases when needed by applying your equine experience to handle large animals safely and effectively. Experience Prior kennel experience demonstrating animal handling skills in a fast-paced environment. Veterinary technician experience with a solid understanding of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, and anatomy. Laboratory experience including sample collection, processing, and analysis techniques. Veterinary critical care experience that highlights your ability to respond quickly in emergency situations. Experience working with dogs in handling Knowledge of aseptic techniques essential for surgical prep and infection control protocols. Ability to operate X-ray equipment safely while maintaining strict safety standards for personnel and animals. Equine experience that enables confident handling of large animals in clinical settings is highly valued.
