High School Diploma Associates or bachelors degree (preferred) 3+ years of customer service 2+ years of clinical veterinary experience Eligible to work in the United States Reliable transportation Ability to lift 50 Lbs Passion for helping others Demonstrate initiative and a solution-oriented mindset Professional and timely communication A high degree of emotional intelligence and strong communication skills, with an emphasis on resolving conflict Demonstrate empathy and compassion towards patients, pet parents and all veterinary professionals encountered daily Promote an environment of safety and inclusivity, celebrating individual differences Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize Demonstrate strong attention to detail Operate with a strong sense of personal accountability and reliability Follow instruction and adhere to company policies to ensure a safe and comfortable work environment (including ensuring compliance with OSHA and other safety policies) Proficiency with technology, iOS and EzyVet specifically Client communication / education and relationship development, including phone / text, electronic (email) and in-person communications Patient care, including proficiency with safe and reliable restraint Basic medical mathematics Participate in activities contributing to maintaining a clean environment Support activities related to the scheduling of appointments Supporting activities related to appointments including but not limited to obtaining histories, TPRs / weights, assisting with medical records, and completing standard appointment procedures (i.e. vaccinations, nail trims, ear cleanings, etc.) Supporting activities related to hospital admissions including but not limited to verifying consent forms, patient information, medications, and fasting status Supporting activities related to therapeutic procedures and completing diagnostics (including laboratory and radiology imaging studies) Assist with anesthesia as directed (responsibilities will vary pending experience and state requirements), which may include the administration of medication, intubation monitoring and recovery of patients Ability to monitor patients under anesthesia with little to no guidance Assist with surgical and dental procedures as directed (responsibilities will vary pending experience and state requirements) Proficiency with cleaning and sterilizing equipment Competitive salary Paid Time Off Pet Discounts 401(k) Medical / Dental / Vision Benefits CE / Discretionary Fund Scrub allowance This is a full-time, non-exempt position offering either five, eight hour shifts or four ten hour shifts. While the schedule is expected to be consistent, changes may be necessary to meet the needs of a growing hospital.
