We are seeking a Veterinary Technician who is passionate about animal care, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and thrives as part of a collaborative team. Position Summary The Veterinary Assistant/Technician supports veterinarians and the hospital team by assisting with patient care, client communication, treatments, diagnostics, and hospital operations. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to contribute to exceptional patient care while building strong relationships with clients and coworkers. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and procedures Obtain patient histories and accurately document medical records Restrain patients safely and compassionately Collect laboratory samples, including blood, urine, and fecal specimens Perform laboratory testing and prepare samples for outside laboratories Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians Monitor hospitalized patients and communicate changes to the medical team Prepare surgical and dental patients and assist with anesthesia monitoring Take and process radiographs Maintain treatment areas, exam rooms, and equipment Educate clients on preventive care, medications, nutrition, and discharge instructions Assist with inventory management and stocking supplies Provide exceptional customer service to clients and their pets Support the daily operations of the hospital and work collaboratively with team members Qualifications Previous veterinary experience preferred, but not required A genuine passion for animal health and welfare Strong communication and client service skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Positive attitude and willingness to learn Ability to lift and restrain animals weighing up to 50 pounds, with assistance for larger patients Comfortable working around animals of varying sizes and temperaments What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Health, dental, and vision benefits Paid time off Employee pet care discounts Continuing education and training opportunities Supportive team environment Opportunities for professional growth and development
