In this energetic role, you will support veterinarians and veterinary technicians by assisting with daily clinical tasks, animal handling, and client communication. Responsibilities Assist with animal restraint and handling to ensure safety for both animals and staff during examinations and procedures Support veterinary technicians with medication administration, sample collection, and laboratory testing Maintain cleanliness and aseptic techniques in treatment areas to prevent infection and ensure compliance with health standards Help with animal husbandry duties including feeding, grooming, and monitoring overall pet health Manage front desk duties such as scheduling appointments, answering client inquiries, and processing payments Prepare animals for surgeries or diagnostic procedures by setting up equipment and supplies Support pet care activities including walking dogs, cleaning kennels, and providing comfort to hospitalized animals Skills Proven kennel experience combined with animal husbandry knowledge Hands-on veterinary technician experience or veterinary clinic experience preferred Strong animal handling skills with expertise in dog handling, equine experience a plus Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and critical care practices Ability to perform animal restraint safely and effectively; familiarity with animal catheterization is advantageous Experience administering medications and practicing aseptic techniques in a clinical setting Laboratory experience related to sample processing or diagnostic testing is beneficial Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members in a professional manner This role is perfect for motivated individuals passionate about animal welfare who are eager to develop their veterinary career.
