Full Time Veterinary Assistant/Technician Position

Full Time Veterinary Assistant/Technician at a busy small animal veterinary practice.

Location:

Coconut Grove, Florida Duties May Include:

Client communication/education, animal handling/restraint, filing, able to assist with lifting of large dogs (up to 60lbs), caring for boarding animals, kennel cleaning. Monitoring of animals for surgery, performing dental cleanings, specimen collection, laboratory work, and various other tasks to assist the veterinarian. Emphasis on laboratory work and animal handling/restraint. Other daily duties include : dispensing medication, general upkeep and organization, sweeping, mopping, and general cleaning of the premises.

Preferences:

Bilingual (English/Spanish preferred but not required), self-motivated, positive attitude, eager to learn, responsible, reliable, team player, friendly, experience preferred

Hours:

Our office is open from 8:45am-5:30pm Monday through Saturday. A schedule, including one regular weekday off per week, would be determined at a later time. (Must be able to work Saturdays).
